Test Drive: 2011 Infiniti G25X

hi I’m Miranda light stone for
watchmojo.com and today we’re going to
meet the newest member of the infinity
family the g25 X looking from the
outside the g25 is almost identical to
the g37 now it is much smaller it’s kind
of like a shrunken down version of the
g37 the trunk is stubby or the front
nose a little bit shorter than all other
aspects it’s pretty much the same car
and that follows through to the inside
as well even though this is the entry
level base infinity it’s pretty much
like any other infinity you’ve got your
leather seats you’ve got your full
entertainment system you’ve got a backup
camera now granted the back seat is
smaller there’s not as much leg room as
in previous geez and that’s a bit of a
shame but again this is an entry level
and it is supposed to be smaller so you
can’t really complain especially since
the trunk is actually quite large so in
all respects this is a very practical
Jean now just because this is the baby
of the infinity bunch it doesn’t mean
that it’s missing out on any power now
this is a new engine for infinity as it
is the g25 it has a 2.5 liter v6 engine
that pushes out about 280 horsepower and
187 pounds of torque it doesn’t sound
like a lot but for a car this size
actually does quite a good job and I
think it has a quite substantial amount
of kick another point that I really like
about this car as an infiniti has kept
its exhaust Rumble it’s not as apparent
as it was on the first g35 or the FX
model but you can still kind of here
it’s nice that they kept it
this entry level infinity might be the
baby of the bunch but the g25 is still a
well-appointed vehicle available for
less than you might expect
