I’m your host Derek Allen and today
we’ll be exploring the history of
Magneto
as with all comic book characters there
are often reimagine ations in different
versions to a character’s path we have
chosen to follow the storyline which
unfolded in placid x-men number 12
my Nieto witnessed his parents death at
the hand of Nazis as a young boy and was
subsequently sent to the OSH whit’s
concentration camp calling himself
madness still unaware of his powers it
was in the tambour he also met Magda the
woman he would go on to marry
it was another tragedy in his life for
Magnus’s powerful abilities first
manifested after being obstructed by a
mob of people to help save as the unde
otter from a burning building Magnus’s
powers were unleashed against his will
and the mob was killed in the years to
follow Magnus would learn to control his
ability his primary power is his ability
to control magnetism as well as use
magnetic force fields for protection
after learning of these powers – his
wife Magda left her husband and months
later learned that she was pregnant with
twins they would develop superpowers of
their own and go on to become Scarlet
Witch and Quicksilver sometime later
Magnus became close with Charles Xavier
after the pair revealed their powers to
each other they soon learned their views
on human mutant relations were starkly
different and the two parted ways power
corrupts no lobbyists I know Charles
when you’re going to stop lecturing me
fearing another Holocaust this time
against mutants madness took a stand
against humanity with the belief that
mutants would eventually be the dominant
life-form on the planet now calling
himself Magneto Magnus founded a group
called the Brotherhood of mutants which
would be renamed the Brotherhood of Evil
Mutants by the media who will you stand
with the humans or us
you
