if you think the Dark Knight is brooding
and dangerous wait till you see his son
welcome to watchmojo.com and today we
will explore the comic book origins of
Damian Wayne son of Batman I know what
you’re thinking you’re sinking you could
be Robin
well you can’t as with most comic book
characters they’re often reimagining and
different versions to a character’s past
we have chosen to primarily follow the
storyline which unfolded in 2006 is
Batman issues number 655 to 658 as
Batman continues the fight against crime
in Gotham City Talia al Ghul daughter of
the criminal mastermind Ra’s al Ghul is
revealed to be watching his every move
by her side is a mysterious young boy
this child turns out to be the son of
Batman himself Damian Wayne where are we
going Gotham City it’s time to meet your
father
Talia confronts the Caped Crusader and
reveals that Damian is their son grown
in an artificial womb by the League of
Assassins using a combination of Batman
and Talia’s DNA Talia leaves Damian in
Batman’s care hoping that the boy’s
presence will disrupt Batman’s
activities you didn’t know about me no
some others made me your responsibility
stubborn smart and able to hold his own
in any fight Damian is a rocky addition
to the bat family he has the brilliance
of his father and the ferocity of his
mother and what he lacks an experience
he makes up for in raw talent and
determination now your heart
Damian not only becomes a skilled
martial artist and swordsman but also
cares little for the lives of criminals
who he believes to be the bane of the
world with Talia eventually leaving
Damian under her father’s care the boy
would prove to be difficult for Batman
and his ilk to handle better than with
the League of Assassins they taught me
how to fight and I take it not much else
Damian would become jealous of Robin
because of his close partnership with
Batman and even go so far as attacking
him but through all the difficulties
Damian would eventually learn how to
work and care for others while he may no
longer be on the path to become the
ruler of the world as his mother desires
he now protects the streets alongside
dick Grayson’s Batman who is set to
continue the late Bruce Wayne’s work
both in protecting Gotham and teaching
Damian how to be a crime fighter Damian
has shown proficient use in all manners
of weaponry including batarangs and
swords he’s also highly intelligent
owing to his intense training with the
League of Assassins and his lineage as
Batman’s son and Ra’s al Ghul’s grandson
here is your legacy Damian
here is your inheritance the League of
Assassins although he prefers working
alone and likes taking matters into his
own hands
Damien seems to always want to please
and honor his father more than anything
else for all of Damien’s skill he lacks
patience and discipline which is why his
mother left him with Bruce Wayne in the
first place so that he could teach his
son those virtues shoved in you I’ll
tear your heart out do you hearing I’ll
tear it out
Dick Grayson would teach Damian the art
of patience and putting fear in criminal
hearts rather than outright killing them
we could take Deathstroke out
permanently we don’t kill having such
incredible skill at a young age and
having the bat family willing to guide
him in life will surely turn Damian into
a formidable crime fighter in the years
to come
young Damian Wayne has already appeared
in several media outlets including film
and television starring in DC’s animated
feature son of Batman the story follows
Damian’s origin you are such an arrogant
little brat so entitled so bloodthirsty
so easy to manipulate he also made a TV
appearance in Batman the brave in the
bold though not as the Damian we know
from the comics but as a much tamer
version and with his mother being
Catwoman instead of Talia there’s a new
Robin in town to work out our issues
still his appearances in the video games
like injustice gods among us where he
takes up the mantle of Nightwing in an
alternate dimension and Lego Batman 2 DC
superheroes has cemented his position in
the DC Universe as a force to be
reckoned with are you a fan of the brash
