slightly revised in Teen Titans vol 3
number 13 the shape-shifting teen known

him the wisecracking teen had
infiltrated their headquarters to prove
his worth and join them but the Doom
Patrol wasn’t keen on the brash
youngster the world’s strangest heroes

left readers learned that Garr Logan
incorrectly named Craig in this issue

a rare disease that was inevitably fatal
in all animals except the West African
green monkey dr. Logan used reverse
evolution on his son to change him into
a green monkey for 24 hours thus
defeating the disease at the same time
this turned his skin permanently green
and gave him the ability to assume the
shape of any animal gar used his
abilities to save his mother from a
deadly snake but when his parents were
caught in a boating accident gar was
unable to prevent their deaths his
father left him with a key to a safe
containing the secret of reverse
evolution and dr. Weir had stolen that
teeth while gar was under hypnosis the
Doom Patrol now officially took gar in
as one of their team naming him beast
boy and giving him an official costume
together they defeated Weir the starting
beast boys long career as a superhero
with the Doom Patrol the Teen Titans and
the Ravagers over the years there have
been some slight modifications to beast
