Super Bowl Snack: Chicken Wings in Cola

these are one of the most popular
appetizers around and there are many
variations to suit your tastes hi I’m
Rebecca Britain and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’ll be showing
you how to make your very own game day
chicken wings in cola this recipe can
easily be double to make a bigger batch
but for this you’ll need two pounds of
chicken wings half a teaspoon of garlic
salt and half a teaspoon of onion salt
six ounces of Cola half a cup light
brown sugar 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
and if you want to kick it up a bit add
some hot sauce or red pepper flakes to
the sauce to start I suggest using a
disposable pan to help with cleanup
because the sauce can get pretty sticky
your first step is to remove the tips
from the chicken wings
once you’ve removed and discarded the
wingtips pre-heat your oven to 325 now
place the wings in your baking dish and
season both sides with the garlic and
onion salt
always keep in mind when you’re working
with raw chicken to wash your hands
every time you touch them next set aside
the wings and mix together the cola
brown sugar and soy sauce
you
now pour the mixture over the wings and
cover them with tin foil place them in
the oven for two hours and make sure to
turn them over every half hour
if you don’t have time to babysit your
wings all afternoon you can throw them
in a crock pot instead which means you
don’t have to keep turning them over
when the two hours are up uncover the
chicken wings and put them in the oven
again for another hour to two hours make
sure you keep turning them over every
half hour
if at the end of the cooking time you
still find the sauce too runny you can
always transfer it to a small sauce pan
and boil it down on top of the stove
once it’s boiled down to a glazed type
consistency you can pour it right back
on the wings
now you’re ready to serve these up on
game day for a surefire touchdown
