how did the relationship between Stella
McCartney and Adidas develop I think
what we needed was to change how we
present women’s performance apparel to
the public if I remember correctly
Stella always felt that it when she did
sports it was really hard to find very
fashionable sporting goods whether it
was skiing or golf as a new sport for
her or yoga or running so she really
felt there was something missing in the
marketplace so when she connected with
Adidas and it’s a ten-year relationship
she really lent her culture and her
sense of detailing and styling to our
performance so what you’re wearing here
is it’s called a cover-up and this is
adidas by stella mccartney there’s no
animal products used in any of her
design lines so there’s no leathers
there’s no furs anything like that this
is actually organic cotton she is a
vegan herself so you see that really
coming through on her line this is your
outdoor running top I mean this is
absolutely incredible see there’s
ventilation under the arm there’s a
really nice detailing that’s almost kind
of military looking on the shoulders and
then it’s a warm up on the neck this is
an outdoor running shoes this has a deep
green in it so there’s actually
technical in it so if you imagine
wearing this piece with this running
shoe this is her running jacket I mean
this takes where we were with our
running in such a different direction
you know this has reflective taping on
it it’s got lots of pleading and ruching
on it and it’s absolutely soft and
feminine but these are incredibly
