welcome to the dark side ladies and
gentlemen
they’re the universe’s coolest villains
combate me I’m pop over my dead body
welcome to watchmojo.com I’m your host
Mike Patel and today I had the chance to
speak with Boba Fett and Guido from the
original Star Wars trilogy how does it
feel being one of the most recognized
film villains of all time
um well it’s a nice nice thing to have
in some ways but you know when people
say why did they cover your face with a
helmet and I said well the trouble is
the British actors are so ugly they
wanted to cover their faces not frighten
the children can you tell us a little
bit about your process in playing grito
and Star Wars which is a popular icon
for the franchise well for one thing I
certainly did not wish for everyone to
know that I was a female a woman it was
quite an experience I had wires in my
neck underneath the Playtex mask I had
tape too for the wires not to move but
the wires were for everything else to
move the ears the little antennas the
hands and it worked real well except for
one thing breathing was not easy the
costume was fantastic so you just look
at the costume you think what is this
guy about where’s he from what’s
underneath here it just gave him that
mystery and then he actually answers
Darth Vader back not many people do that
and get away with it you may take
Captain solo to Jabba the Hutt after I
have Skywalker he’s no good to me did
people say do you realize you’re go down
in history as an icon and I was just
smile and laugh I’ve been acting 53
years now and it’s the one time I’ve
covered my face and I’m more well-known
around the world for that part than
anything else I’ve done all the work
that was done in
and with Greedo was when you see them in
the same shot they are together that is
not my work I got all the clothes up I
got lucky I’m wondering if you know
about the petition online about hand
shot first
well he shot first but he was then a
villain George Lucas could not live with
that I suppose but the controversy was
really welcomed because it made all the
fans come out to see how I felt about it
can you tell us a little bit about your
involvement with the fans of Star Wars
the fans naturally is what makes the
star or the person that’s celebrity
breathe because without fans you’re no
one I mean I don’t care how great your
work is if it’s not recognized thank you
very much and I hope to see you again on
the comic circuit I do too thank you
