latest collaboration with hmm initially
we started doing a lingerie
collaboration with sonia rykiel for
christmas and she introduced a couple of
knitwear pieces into that collection and
we left them so so much that’s why we
asked her to do the follow-up collection
for spring that’s fully 100% netware and
it’s really iconic it really speaks to
the Ricky I’ll name it’s the first time
we’ve ever done a collaboration that
includes children’s wear and I think
that it really came from Natalie racheal
herself she looked at the overall pieces
and thought they were really fun they
were really chic and wouldn’t it be
great to kind of have that mommy
daughter duo so that’s why we decided to
go ahead with it who is Natalie Rick
yell Natalie rykiel is actually sonia
rykiel daughter who’s taken over as the
creative director for the fashion house
so she was the primary person
responsible for designing the pieces
that you see in the collection here of
course Sonia still works at fashion
house day-to-day overseas some parts of
the business but it is her daughter
Natalie who handles most of the affairs
for the business and who we worked with
primarily on this collaboration how
would you describe the signature style
of sonia rykiel label she’s obviously
known as the queen of nets and she’s
also really famous for what’s known as
day mode which is not having to adhere
to the strict codes of fashion being
able to dress how you want trying new
things playing around with lots of bold
colors like we see in the collection and
of course interesting details like the
inside-out stitching the rhinestones
it’s more about having fun with fashion
having fun with dressing up and having
fun with being feminine so this was my
absolute favorite piece in the
collection it’s a great jumpsuit and of
course so so trendy right now but the
great thing about it is that again it’s
one hundred percent net and it’s so
comfortable it’s something you can
really dress up for nighttime with a
pair of heels and a great little tube
top or really cute t-shirt or you can
dress it down for a day so this is where
my absolute favorite pieces from the
kids collection it’s just a really great
little knit dress and of course
exemplifies the total style of sonia
rykiel with this great frill detail in
this little rose
and it’s really really bright pink color
so I think this is the last piece to
show you because I just think that it
really embodies the Sonia Rykiel style
you can see the inside out stitching
detail and of course the rhinestones
she’s so well known for and then of
course just putting her great signature
on it with her name racheal i believe
the collection offers a redheaded doll
is that her yeah it’s actually a
