think Canadians are getting bored with
the constant back-and-forth inherent in
a minority government here it’s time to
stop this we have a really really
advanced nation I’m sitting human
glorious oasis of civilization right
here we’re comfortable more tranquil by
the standards of the world we’re
extremely well off the politics should
be as large as the country that it has
we don’t know how fortunate we are how
exempt we are from the miseries of the
world and how many generations of
intellectual economic and political
endeavor it took to build and we treat
it as if it’s something that grew out of
the ground and will always be there our
politics is small it is narrowly
partisan it goes for cheap effect and
I’ll be absolutely straight and I can’t
remember a moment of inspiring
leadership for about the last 20 years
Canada deserves better than it’s getting
a large part of the blame is the
political class and a large part of it
is our own complacency about maybe
because we have it so good what in your
opinion would need to happen in Canadian
politics to even justify another
election your younger person what’s new
coming out of their mouths what have you
heard in the last three months that made
you change your mind i’m changing about
eater ignatiev harper or Layton I just
think it’s the right thing to do and be
using honestly just think of yourself
don’t say it out loud using honesty in
the six months you’re going to have a
revelation that will substantially alter
your perspective on how these guys are
dealing and do you think in the deepest
sense if there’s a Cotton’s worth of
difference between real leadership does
something that challenges you inside it
doesn’t confirm the position you already
hold don’t go to politics or the
editorials for that matter to get a
cheerleading for the opinion you already
hope go to the one that you’re less
comfortable with
as long as it’s being honestly argued
