Review of Xbox 360 – Dashboard Menu

now the dashboard has a series of what
are referred to as blades now these
blades are basically different sections
that allow you to sort of manipulate
different features in the Xbox 360
now this main blade is the home blade
and what it does is it gives you some
information about your Xbox Live status
for example my gamer score and which is
pretty pathetic and my my reputation and
things like that now the second blade
here basically goes into some of the
games that are stored on the system so
you can play your Xbox Live Arcade games
or check out some of the demos you’ve
downloaded off of the marketplace as
well as game videos you’ve downloaded
from the marketplace the next blade here
is basically the multimedia blade now
this blade allows you to share music
from the hard drive directly to your TV
or from another computer to your xbox
360’s so currently I do have a computer
hooked up to the network here so we are
able to listen to music and view
pictures and in terms of video this is
video stored on the hard drive not
actually from the computer if you want
to get video from your computer to the
Xbox 360 you’re gonna have to use the
windows media extender now for this you
do require a PC that is running Windows
Media Center or if you have a copy of
one of the Vista builds you can actually
use it using Vista because Vista does
have a built in media center
