Respect Photo Exhibit

respect is a monumental photo exhibit
that aims to inspire and inform us all
of the Canadian boreal forest welcome to
watchmojo.com my name is Andrea tram and
today I’ll be talking with Louise la
vieille the curator of the event what is
the mission of reporters communication
well I mission is to inform the public
on world issues and cultures using
photography and exhibitions eighty
percent of people do not go to the
forest so we say to ourselves okay you
know if they don’t go to the forest will
take the forest to them so that was the
philosophy behind it so we were asked to
produce an exhibition on the boreal
forest so we designed a journey and in a
very special journey by which a pilot’s
would take a small plane and decide to
cross the country because it doesn’t
know his country and has he moves
towards the west he stops in different
provinces and hops along different
photographers we worked with some
wonderful photographers I mean across
Canada from Quebec to UConn from bc we
didn’t tell them what you should do this
you should do that they just took off
and they just follow their instinct and
use their talents to capture what you
see today it’s a huge task I’m wondering
what was sort of challenges did you come
across and what is the biggest one for
you well one of the signs that we have
at the beginning it says a chronology of
all challenges I mean everything was a
challenge from putting this show
together getting the money and then
getting the itinerary in flying we’ve
we call without a net for most of the
time so if anything had happened to the
motor where we have no way to land in
order to bring those pictures we had to
take quiz I hope this is a love story
between city people and enforced
