with tea mills about what he’s been up
to lately and his crazy fans
let’s talk about the leaving home EP yes
it’s kind of what you were going for
with that and writing recording process
it was first I released the leaving home
album there’s a whole album free album
that I put out which was 10 songs took
me like eight months I recorded 140
songs for that project and then we
narrowed it down to like 16 14 12 and
settle on 10 and I just released that
for free on my website a couple months
later we took five of my favorite songs
off the free album and a brand new song
and we put it on iTunes and then my song
fans on got picked up at radio and it’s
been doing its thing we shot a video for
it
she say males you must superhero but I’m
in the studio working on my album that’s
gonna be out later on this year
beginning early beginning of next year
and I’m working on a mixtape so I’m
dropping a lot of free music I’ve been
having a like record in spurts you know
cuz I’ve been on the road so much so
I’ll be like gone for three weeks I’ll
be home for like five days so like those
five days I’m like locked in a room and
working my little ass off and then I
gotta like pack and like leave again so
it’s been pretty hectic but it’s fun
your fans are pretty crazy with the
motifs taken pretty loyal at least yes
you want to tell us about some of your
craziest experiences the craziest thing
I’ve you know I’ve been telling people
and interviews and stuff was like people
getting tattoos right like people have
gone like eight tattoos of me which is
like pretty cool pretty crazy but then
my whole life changed about a month and
a half ago so we were at Baker we’re at
this town called Bakersfield California
I was doing like a meet-and-greet so
people could come up and take pictures
and I could sign things and these girls
came up to me and they’re like yo you
know what are you doing after the show
like you should stay in town and night
like we got a hotel and all this was
like you know I got to go back to LA
it’s like 2:00 in the morning I got it
you know I got studio in the morning I
got shit to do
and they’re like and they were like kind
of like I don’t say bitter about it was
just like weird about it you know like
they really wanted me to stay there a
dead set it’s like finished
meet-and-greet I’m with I’m with my dude
from the record label is like with all
of us he drove us up there so we go
outside to get in the car we parked like
behind the venue or behind the nightclub
and we walk outside and there’s like I
love T Mel’s like we love you that are
like all this crazy shit written all
over the car and lipstick and mascara
so we’re like ah like that’s you know
number one so we get in the car we turn
the car we hear those beepings we get
out of car and all four of the tires are
flat and they let they like if they let
out all of the air and all four tires
and then they like came around the
corner and just like hung out and looks
like we had to like call like a tow
truck and like have them come pump up
the pump up the tires and it was like
took like two hours so we’re just like
stuck they like you know they made sure
that I was staying there for at least a
little bit longer and that’s like weird
for me cuz like a fight you know an
artist I like and like listen to like I
would never like meet them and be like
stoked and I take a picture and then
like go out back and like slash their
tires so like they couldn’t leave like
that was just I don’t know it was scary
I look at like this I get at least I
have people that are that passionate
about me because I could have played the
show and no one gives and I could have
just left and that would have been that
and I wouldn’t have a great answer to
tell you on an interview like this
