guys about some of the lyrical and
musical themes on my head is an animal
all our songs both in you know in lyrics
and music are stories we kind of went
off trying to create it and help and I
was kind of world on its own like the
way that we write lyrics is that we hear
some stories that are interesting or
what we think of stories that are
interesting and we know right from
[Music]
when you listen to the lyrics we wanted
to create like our world around that so
you wouldn’t just be listening to a
story you would also
yeah yeah yeah it’s a story that’s good
oh baby holding me back
well tell that I miss our little talks
we’ll be so how has having two vocalists
added to your sound and are there any
challenges associated with it hasn’t
been much fighting oh we never but it
creates a different kind of dynamic it’s
much more diverse maybe I don’t know
it’s it’s good I like it

well I wanted to also ask you guys you
have quite a few members in the band so
are there any challenges trying to
coordinate or agree when you’re doing
when you’re writing your song oh well we
haven’t we haven’t had any major
problems and know if anybody feels
really strong about something we try it
out yeah we listen to each other and try
to understand each other yeah I think at
the end of it we just really respect
each other and we look at you up to each
other as musicians so it’s you know it’s
good

so you guys have only been together for
a few years and you’ve had this very
quick rise to fame what was your
reaction to this I think we’re still
wrapping our head around this I don’t
know
we’re just playing music yeah I just
play it off and I live in Iceland I
don’t know what’s going on here

sometimes hard to know what’s going on
outside of Iceland you kind of like its
you’re just there and that when we go on
on tours and we are very surprised by
what is going on yeah yeah it’s also
really hard to like get the feel of how
people are like receiving us because
we’re like Canada we don’t feel the vibe
because we feel just like our families
just like are you good fans and they’re
like okay York and I in the middle of
the storm because like there’s always
calm in the middle of the storm and
maybe everything is going on around us
and we don’t knows it yeah that’s why
they called me the clever boy the truth
may vary this ship will carry our bodies
safe to shore
