out warp tour where we spoke with Levi
from miss may I about the re-release of
their album monument what they’re
working on now and his R&B influences
the band rights together so ye tell us a
bit more about the writing process of
the van it’s just how we grew up like it
just doesn’t feel right if we don’t do
it like that like we grew up like
sitting in the basement eating Taco Bell
like sitting in a circle like just
jamming and like that’s how we wrote all
of our CDs we even monument our last
city meet we only had ten days off and
that’s before we toured in the bus so we
couldn’t write on tour so we like home
for 10 days wrote the whole city in
today’s satin like our jam jam spot
sentence circles for up the whole city
really your concepts come from I like to
because I think because it was like R&B
and stuff anyways I like I think writing
about like everyday stuff really cool
because i know that i like throw a lot
of metal bands so like trying to be like
poetic and deep under like they have
sort of press like a dark did all this I
was like I think if you write about
especially if not a lot of people
nowadays of lie about just everyday
stuff friends cool because when kids
write us back and stuff for like they
can relate to it and we try to all make
all our songs like we go out of our way
it’s really hard to write a whole CD
like it but we got our way to link from
all like inspirational songs instead of
like pissed off like I don’t like kids
like beat the crap out other shows but
like all the lyrics and steering are
just like super inspirational because
like we’re just really stoked to be over
at so we’re like let’s just write music
to get people excited instead
okay wait I need I need an example of
these are being acts that you’re
listening to usher it’s my jam he’s my
number one I like some Jamie Foxx he’s
got new CD out I like some R Kelly I
just love like like that kind of like
those those guys and Justin Timberlake
his understudy out but he’s a man but
stuff like that I literally can’t listen
to like all day every day I exhale you
would not have expected that I’ve like
if I’m walking around like more like
warming up and I’m add funds in is that
it’s not like metal stuff give me stuff
from just like smooth damn
you guys rereleased monument yeah what
made you do that where did some before
work towards it so it wasn’t like oh
just the banner war we don’t record
until January and we give kids something
like to kill the time so require those
four songs for warped and we’ve been
working with DVD for a long time so it
was cool to have that out and it we’re
working on the DVD for the third I have
them already so but Sir Thomas will come
out with you give us a bat which will be
nice don’t wait for real is there
anything you can tell us about the
upcoming tell me we have one song done
i’m thinking vocals on this week and
then there’s a writing the other one as
we speak right now they’re all all
together I can’t tell you we’re going to
yet because we haven’t had a press once
because we’re going to new producers for
it because we did our first two CDs with
joey sturgis so I go too much new people
but I’m same lattice I’ve already got in
trouble for press because I tell people
to new things I get emails like every
