difference between north american family
and an Italian family I think there are
cultural differences because we you know
being from here their influences that
impact on us that are from the old
country from the new country and then
obviously if you’re just an Italian
comic the only old country influences
right you’re so outdoorsy want to go
white water rafting hiking in the woods
trekking on a mountain trail people do
shit you actually base most of your
commie on these differences so do you
have to be Italian to enjoy the show no
no you wouldn’t have to be I think my
comedy is is about not i think my comedy
is about being an outsider i always say
this that and if i can tap into the
outsider in each and every person in the
audience then they’ll come along for the
ride so that the outsider could be you
know you’re the kid that didn’t fit in
in high school or you’re the family who
slid was different in the neighborhood
what you are is your from Europe Latin
America put your granddad see granddad
why did you come to Canada I promise you
no ethnic grandfather’s going to look at
you and say my boy we come to this
country for the campaign
so that’s what my comedy is like feeling
not part of the whole and criticizing
the whole now one of the popular reality
shows today’s Jersey Shore is that an
accurate representation of the Italian
men and women the representation is all
the growth stereotypes right it’s in it
you have to know that it’s like satire
and when if the show would have like a
long life then it had to it would have
to go beyond the stereotypes people
don’t camp with the will dress ethnic
people in general don’t care but it down
the house backing up Italians never
listen you’ll never find four or five a
caring guy lingering over with you could
watch the simpsons and if you’re nine
years old you could get all the cackle
npp jokes and if you’re like doing a PhD
you could talk you could see the higher
level they’re trying to attain and
that’s what I’m trying to do in comedy
appeal to everybody if you just want to
laugh and have a good time I’ll make you
do that if you want to laugh and maybe
ponder existence I’ll make you do that
to let me just tell you if you see four
or five accounting as in the woods I
promise you one of them is not coming
back now tiles quite a sexy language can
you teach us something um how about the
classic te amo you know that one yeah oh
