Dan Bigham one of the coolest things
about being a comic is going to travel a
lot for instance I’ve been traveling all
over the US recently and we’re all
familiar with the stereotypes that
Americans have towards Canadians but I
discovered that the further you go south
the weirder hour every time a beaver
takes a dump into a hockey helmet a
Canadian is born I love how you first
began in comedy you were actually were
added just for laughs festival as a
busboy when you decide to go up on stage
can you tell us about that I thought I
wanted to get into public relations so I
started off with this event planning
company they really started me at the
bottom as a busboy at this party but
they said it was for just for laughs so
I knew I wanted to be around comedians a
friend of mine who I went to college
with like 10 years earlier another
comedian Claire bra so he used to do
this thing where he would bang all these
chicks and then pretend that he did it
various got me every time at that one I
was too embarrassed even go over and say
hi I just felt like I was on the wrong
path two weeks later I was on I was on
stage for the first time there’s some
strange reason though whenever I tell
guys that my girlfriend is a horseback
rider probably saying shit to me like
not a tease
what does it take to go from the
audience to underneath the spotlight
basically carrying a notepad or some
sort of voice recorder for me was the
most important thing kind of rehearse it
at home just talk it out loud often I’m
talking in public too but I’ll pull up
my cell phone and pretend like I’m
talking to another human being so I
don’t look insane what can people expect
from one of your shows my show is kind
of bizarre like I definitely because I
grew up watching so much comedy that I
almost felt like everything’s already
been done before like all the
relationship jokes and the women are
different for men cats are different
from dogs all those all that stuff had
already been done so i always find the
weird angles trojan condoms if the
Greeks had tried you it’s gonna burn as
I googled your name on youtube I came
across a video where you get slapped in
