hi this is Lisa symptoms and minerals
and you’re watching watchmojo.com so
today we’re going to talk about
essential makeup tools your brushes
first one hands down is going to be the
Kabuki brush I love this one is compact
it’s tight is smooth on the face and you
can use it for your foundation
application powder bronzer or blush got
it but this one is called it is little
contour you have different sides to use
so we have the flat side for the apples
and then we have a narrow side and we
can actually sculpt with that so we can
go in and do the contour then we go into
this one is called a chisel deluxe oval
fluff and so I like about this again is
chisel cut chisel means it goes from
short to long so it applies and it
blends at the same time so it’s
something that would easily sweep across
the entire lid in like two strokes this
is the chisel double angle these are
like idiot-proof russia’s right here
there’s like four sides to it and
there’s the point in the middle so that
you can do the entire lid you can use
the point and work underneath the arch
of the brow you can take that point
apply it in the outer corner with a
little V is let’s say between the lash
line and the crease and fill that and
that’s going to give the depth this is
called a mini Deluxe fluff she’s got 2x
you have the mini and then you have the
deluxe fluff same thing is like
contoured shaped with little Halfmoon so
it’s great for applying the entire lower
lid when you’re talking about doing
smokey eyes you fill in with the larger
one you flip it around then you line
with the other side you can also use it
for lightly filling in the brow
something totally crucial this is called
a fan brush and I like about this and
there’s multiple applications we can use
it first of all for taking loose powder
and just dabbing it on the top of the
cheekbone that way when you’re doing a
big smoky eye and all that black stuff
starts falling down it would be caught
in the powder and then afterwards all
you have to do is brush it away it’s not
going to be embedded in your skin and
it’s actually gonna be have a little
highlight as well because the loose
powder will leave something behind can
actually use it for bronzer the tallest
parts of the hair are going to hit the
tallest parts of the cheeks that’s the
part that stands at the most we can
actually hit the temple just kind of
Oh see and that’s going to sculpt the
cheekbone this is actually another fan
brush but it’s made out of badger hair
usually all the hair that is used in
making cosmetic brushes is considered by
product I don’t know what that really
means we have the covered lip read this
one is my favorite it’s kind of like a
square pull apart and what I like about
is it just slide it up it’s ready to go
you can always load it close it retouch
when you’re ready I hate getting lip
brushes that have a cover on it because
the next thing I know I have no more
cover left last but far by least it’s
the kolinsky tapered angle like I don’t
know you can’t survive about one of
these so this is made from sable hair
but i love about stable is that it’s
extremely smooth but it’s very firm so
those hairs are going to like the
interwoven together they’re really going
to keep a sharp line so that’s perfect
for when you need to really define a
lash line beauty of it is that is
perfect for wet or dry application so
Christina you may be asking yourself how
do i maintain my brushes how do I keep
them in perfect working order so you Jim
take a towel we can do a quick cleanse
of this one is like an SD alcohol it’s a
grain-based alcohol it should be less
drawing than conventional alcohols but
this helps pulled color out of the brush
and gets it ready to be able to use
again just rips it off onto the towel
reshape it and leave it on the edge to
dry same thing goes for when you’re
actually washing your brushes you’re
going to let use a lot of warm water
okay saturate it take a little bit of
really gentle shampoo okay ten one that
used for yourself and just do little
circles are going to make lots and lots
of bubbles and you’re going to rinse it
until there’s nothing left once that
runs clear that there’s nothing left in
it reshape it so it looks like how it
was supposed to be then always leave it
on the edge of a table never never never
put your brushes standing up because you
know what happens all the water goes
into the root and that’s when it starts
getting funky and if you do that you’re
going to preserve your brushes forever
thanks a lot i’m lisa sims extend
