powerful and poignant their flesh
alt-rock Wow’s crowds hi I’m Rebecca
Britain and welcome to watchmojo.com we
got the chance to check out warp tour
where we spoke with Micah from there for
tomorrow about their album the verge
your style is really popular right now
so how do you guys think you stand out
from the crowd I think what really makes
us something is that we’re like a core
unit in our chemistry between the four
of us is the sound of our band like
instead of you know the lead singer
writing the song and then let’s
formulate all the instruments around it
like with this record we wrote the
twelve songs in a week and then all
together in the live room and just was
very honest with it and we wanted to do
that because in the past we’ve had kind
of misleading you know albums with songs
that we’re trying to be so ambitious and
make this huge sound and we didn’t
really need on it all we needed is just
to be to be us
would want to miss
what is the significance of the title
The Verge basically just a great phrase
that stuck out that came from the lyrics
or the opening track and it really kind
of sets in stone this moment in time for
our band and like where we’re at as
people and where we’re at as a group as
a unit and we feel like we’re
approaching something and it’s getting
so close and we can taste it it’s on its
import tongue but we can’t identify it
yet so just have to be very stuck in it
in the here and now and recognize each
present moment because everything is
such a great experience for us you know
traveling the world and getting tons of
fans hitting us up all day with love
that’s what the verge is about
and what’s the reception been like I
mean how are people on warped or
enjoying it they loving it i mean i
think the fan favorites all right
already or the new songs so that’s a
good sign that’s always a good sign so
after an album released you guys take a
break or do you continue writing
straight away on the road especially I
work too it’s a little tough but you
know at home we’re not creating we get
like weird get depressed and stuff so
yeah we’re always doing some kind of
music I’m always making something but as
far as there for tomorrow songs yeah
we’re looking forward to the real songs
that some of the fire our band make the
whole world come together with words and
feelings and emotions through these
songs and we still feel like we have the
master pieces that are yet to be written
so let’s finish up by talking about
touring you guys have toured with some
pretty impressive bands i’m not mistaken
why he tell us about some of your
favorite experiences and what you’ve
learned one way i still have to say like
one of our first big tours we ever did
was with one of our favorite bands from
back in the day at amberlynn and now
that I just took us under the wing and
you know we were very young we like
18-19 didn’t know what the hell we were
doing what they say strike the drums
every night so everybody could use the
riser and they were just a real
headlining band and we’ve experienced
other bands that are a little out of
their own realm with thinking they’re a
little too larger than life but you know
ambulant was always very down earth and
cool even though we were little
youngsters had no idea what to do
