get brain yet welcome to watchmojo.com
I’m your host Maurice and today is
Friday the 13th don’t get spooked out
just yet as it happens most of us don’t
even know the history behind why the
date carries such a stigma but luckily
for you I’m here to clear that up
I can’t be laughing for this and some
english-speaking cultures Friday the
13th is considered a day of bad luck of
course the superstition exists elsewhere
as well in Greece and Spain for example
the days of Tuesday the 13th pulls the
same stigma so where is this
superstition superstitions yeah so where
is this superstition come from well one
of the most common theories links it to
the fact that there were 13 people at
the Last Supper and who is the 13th yes
none other than Judas who went on to
betray Jesus walked under a wire now in
addition to this Christians also believe
that Jesus was crucified on the Friday
as well theologians also say that on
Friday is when Adam and Eve ate the
forbidden fruit in the garden and that
the great flood started on the Friday as
well with you next week well I go I go
okay there’s no evidence suggesting that
the 13th is bad luck until the 19th
century when the belief that the first
person to leave the table where 13
people were seated would be the first to
die yes British that came out wrong and
didn’t make it silly I mean either women
go say like so so think twice before
walking under a ladder or crossing a
black cat because today is Friday the
13th
yeah that was enthusiastic let’s go with
that one now there’s no evidence
suggesting that the 13th itself is bad
luck until the 19th century when people
started believing that the first person
who was seated at a table 13 Gallup and
they would be the first to die in fact
there is evidence suggesting that people
are more cautious on this thing phew and
people laugh people even go so far as
not going to work or traveling which
cost the US alone anywhere from 800 to
900 million dollars so today on Friday
the 13th
think twice before walking under a
ladder or crossing a black cap from the
beginning I finally came out in English
