now the guys at Silicon Knights were
kind enough to actually remake the
original Metal Gear Solid game that was
released back on the PlayStation metal
gear solid the twin snakes was released
the Gamecube couple years ago and really
just did a lot to reinvigorate the
franchise now here is an example of a
nice contrast between what the graphics
look like before to this updated version
as you see here snake is you know rear
ender dollars glory and they sort of
used a very similar graphics in turn
from metal gear solid tube and we see
not only do the graphics have a similar
to that but a lot of the gameplay
mechanics from Metal Gear Solid 2 were
actually incorporated into this game
like for example hotting p for people in
lockers and end and that sort of thing
now Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes is
really a good sort of entry into the
Metal Gear series if you have not played
the original PlayStation versions the
original PlayStation versions haven’t
exactly held up to well over time
graphically but in my opinion if you
really want to get a sense of what makes
metal gears such a big deal for so many
people I would suggest playing the
original Metal Gear on the PlayStation
first and then playing this version of
metal gear after completing Metal Gear
Solid 2 so that way you can sort of go
back and appreciate not only how good
metal gear solid one was but it doesn’t
spoil Metal Gear Solid 2 which is little
less flashy by comparison to this one
what they did in this game is actually
record graft a lot of the cutscenes so
they added a lot of action and hang
little subtleties in the scenes that
weren’t present in the original Metal
Gear and one of the things that I must
credit this game for doing is not only
actually really brilliantly redoing
those cinematic sequences but just
having a really solid soundtrack and
really just doing a great job of
reminding us why we fell in love with
here in the first place so for any of
you who have a gamecube and have a
chance i highly suggest picking up metal
gear solid 2 twin snakes for your
gamecube today
