Konami – Metal Gear 2: Snake’s Revenge

now following up the success of the
original Metal Gear game for the NES
economy created metal gear to now metal
gear to solid snake was released only in
japan on the MSX video game system and
never made its way over here now for the
American audience economy had their
American division create what’s referred
to as the black sheep of the Metal Gear
Solid series this was metal gear snakes
revenge now typically Metal Gear is a
stealth game and really created the
genre but I guess to appeal to the
American audience or the North American
audience the the company decided to sort
of take snake and a sort of harder edge
sort of area and had him actually being
the aggressor in this game hence the
name snakes revenge now not only that
snakes revenge have a pretty crappy
plotline but it was really just a
shallow game that had you running and
gunning and and taking on enemies and
really didn’t have that feel of the
original Metal Gear now it did have some
side-scrolling levels that were just
sort of tacked on there but really this
game was so bad that economy doesn’t
officially recognize this game in the
Metal Gear series so when you play metal
gear solid that series of games now you
never hear any reference the events that
have heard in this game whereas you will
hear references to the original Metal
Gear game or even metal gear solid or
middle gear 2 released on the MSX but
this mel gear sakes revenge is a gem
only for the fact that it is the black
sheep in the Metal Gear series and
rightfully so it’s a pretty crap
