Keeping Kids Busy in the Summer

school’s out for summer so why not
enrolling in the art camp hi I’m
Veronica the watchmojo.com and today
meriden legend s tells us all there is
to know about our camp so what is art
camp they learn to look at art they
learn to talk about art they learn to be
comfortable in a museum setting it’s
also a great service I think to the
community because a lot of parents are
looking for activities that are
structured but not too structured the
kids are having a lot of fun when
they’re doing art they’re just enjoying
being here what mediums do the children
get to work with they’ll go from you
know drawing to painting to sculpture to
collage they have their own little
sketch books would you say that
everybody is an artist I don’t think
everybody is an artist just like I don’t
think everybody is a doctor or everybody
has the potential to be a doctor or a
nurse or a lawyer or whatever but I
think everyone has the capacity to
express themselves visually and all
children have such a spontaneity about
them they don’t have all those hang-ups
that adults have about being afraid to
pick up a paintbrush because they have
certain expectations of the quality of
the work they’re going to produce kids
don’t have that thank you very much
