been looking fun to rocks and breaking
locks just trying to find you I’ve been
like a maniac insomniac five steps
behind her tell her month of girls
future history is the greatest
accomplishment of my life I’ve been
working on it for the past month now so
it’s exciting that is finally in the
stores and available for you to sink
your teeth into every single record is
different from the last all the songs
are based on my life so different
stories stories about you know heartache
heartbreak you have stories about on a
stalker that I had that song is called
be careful very interesting situation so
you should definitely take that out and
deep emotional side you know my cousin
pastor that’s all all good thank you
very all different stories and a bunch
of things that you can really really
relate to poverty and take your teeth
into dropping like flies around and
whitey a title future history basically
represents where I’ve come from and it’s
been a long road from you know being a
ghost rider in the industry you know a
little kid you know having a dream to
this midpoint that I’m at now and wha
see myself going in the future you know
it this is the bridge between my future
and my path
let’s talk about your first single it
girl tell us meaning that song for you
it girl it’s actually the second thing
10 seconds yeah yeah man you know I
wanted to write a song about my dream
girl not the girl that when I wake up in
the morning everything is all good
because she’s right next to me the girl
that I haven’t found yet pretty much a
tika sumpter was the lead girl who is an
actress off of gossip girl and a whole
bunch of other stuff it was a pleasure
working with her as well because she not
made the video come to life you know it
was cool to work with an actress because
she made it more personal and real
rather than just having the typical
model you have acting experience awesome
yeah yeah yeahs mess oh yeah what
definitely worked out really well and
yeah it grows out now
your first single I want to go home I
mean that that beat is a classic house
before the 90s how the whole idea come
up for that song just being a fan of it
in general and the baseline is only flip
that’s just one of those those things is
hypnotic when you know it comes on at a
club and it just just captures everybody
I wanted to double it down with it see
what came out of it and brought the idea
into the studio and just happened to be
magically was just one of those things
they did a great job on that appreciate
me really doing a gentleman and load the
shout out to all my Haitian girls all

you I had her do absolutely what was the
difference in the way you approached
this album compared to the first time I
guess the biggest difference man is the
fact that I’ve grown so much you know
I’ve traveled the world I’ve seen a lot
man you know become more cultured and
growing into myself as a man you know
I’ve grown as an artist I’ve known as a
performer write a song about all these
things but nothing is more important
than the growth is
