Italian Cards – Intro

host Maurice and today I’m going to
teach you a little bit about Italian
cards now the first thing you’ll notice
about these cars is they look completely
different from the normal cards that
we’re used to you’ll also notice that
there’s less cards on the table so
you’ll notice that there’s four suits of
ten cards instead of the 13 that were
used to with traditional English cards
the swords are called the spotted the
gold coins are called the benally we
have the clubs which are called the bus
Tony and the last one the cups which are
called the cockpit you’ll notice that we
have the ace until the seven on all the
suits then after that we have three
special cards we have LaDonna which is
usually worth 8 points then we have
otavalo which is usually most nine
points and lastly we had the king which
is called you today which is 10 points
now of course you can play your typical
blackjack or poker with these cards but
there’s plenty of regional Italian games
that you could play you could place
culpa brisk pace set and even ask appeal
to it so now that you have the basics
you can always pick up your own pack of
Italian cards at an Italian grocery
