what is your overall message concerning
nonviolent resistance through the
occupied Palestinian territories and
Israel well I believe that people who
cannot reconcile not because they don’t
want peace and not because they don’t
want to deal with all of this but
because they cannot deal as because of
the continuation of the daily suffering
and they don’t know where to put the
pain they don’t know where to throw
their anger especially if you feel that
injustice around you when you will lose
every condition to live as a human being
this kind of reconciliation become as a
mission for you it’s not just having a
psychology you know solution it’s also
include a political solution by getting
know each other by knowing where the
people come from what they are carrying
in their heart and trying to change
their mind not by you know our argument
I mean if it is an argument a war of
between world and mouth nobody will die
so even if you don’t care about the
other side I think you should be
responsible about yourself to find the
most effective way could make your right
exists by showing the human being inside
you and also breaking down the stigma of
the other side then it will create some
kind of understanding then the other
side will understand what are you asking
for I think my underlying message to the
world and actually to everybody is not
to take science because acting you’re
not helping anybody by that you feel
good about yourselves and if it’s on an
international level you normally create
another conflict in the country that you
live in so I think that one would
support Israel to get out of the
occupied territories and I think one
would support Palestine by supporting
Israel to get out of the occupied
territories now this isn’t trying to be
clever because the occupation effects
them the moral fiber of Israel as well
and I would say that the only way that
we can really start to move forward is
to tell the truth and this sometimes is
very very difficult I love Israel it’s
my country and I will and I paid the
highest price to say what I’m saying but
I say that we must tell the truth about
what is happening to the Palestinians
and we must admit to the situation there
because if we don’t we can never start
on this path of looking to have some
form of reconciliation notice we don’t
talk about you have to love each other
and you know we have to hug each other
and eat hummus we don’t but we do have
to live next to each other with respect
and with dignity and we have to have
freedom of movement if you stop freedom
of movement you this is the worst way to
to stop human rights and I for me that
is very very important for my own
country to have the moral fiber and the
moral sense to tell the truth about
what’s happening and to make to try to
change this that’s what happened in
South Africa in the Truth and
Reconciliation Commission the minute
people started to tell the truth was the
time that they could start to move on
