boards and your normal ocean boards
what’s the difference between a river
surfing board and like a regular or
ocean circuit board basically river boys
are a little bit wider there are a lot
shorter and they have less rocker so
rocker for those who don’t know what
that is is lock up it’s essentially the
curve or the sweep of the board from end
to end the sweater and river surfing
modes have really flat tail rocker and
really low entrance rocker and what that
does is it makes them really really fast
on the wave for their lane in the ocean
i surf with a 6-3 or a 69 squash tail
and the river i sir for the 55 or 59
give you an idea about a whole foot
shorter so when you’re out river surfing
what are you gonna be wearing what what
do you need well that depends on the
season you know if it’s July and August
you’re wearing a board shorts if you’re
a guy and a bikini here girl this year
european guy in which case you might be
wearing a speedo but basically it’s
board shorts and bikinis are in the
summer months and then the spring and
the folder so wet suit you have
something like this this is a woman’s
wetsuit this is a 2 3 millimeter
wetsuits and it’s not seam sealed so the
seams are not taped on the inside and so
water does come into this wetsuit but is
to three-millimeter that’s what we call
the spring suits so basically June or
beginning of September when it’s just a
slight chill in the air you wear
something like this now this is a 3 4
millimeter wetsuit this wetsuit is the
seams are waterproof it’s a much thicker
so the quality of the neoprene is far
higher it’s also a lot more expensive
but then on this wetsuit it’s really
designed for when the water is pretty
cold in the area is pretty cold this
wetsuit here will really keep you dry
really keep you want proving how
passionate surfers are about the sport
we’re passionate about it surfing
completely destroys your social life as
soon as you learn to surf you stop going
out because you want to be able to get
up early in the morning and if you go
out you can’t get up early you stop
going out because you spend money on
alcohol you don’t have it to buy boards
and wetsuits and things and basically
you make new friends and you forget your
old ones and you
old friends cords you don’t call me

do anything fun you go out your party
