hey we’re doing an interview what you
saw today we’re going to be speaking to
the pop rock electronica group the white
tie affair febuary I’m Chris I sing Ryan
keyboard I’m Sean P I play guitar Tim I
play drums so I would like to talk about
the album walk this way what are the
main themes behind it it’s got a lot of
different influences that it draws on
and stuff like that so it’s like pop
music but it’s rock music but it’s
danceable some tunes like straight-up
rock I’m if you listen to some there’s
like no guitar and I’m it’s just a good
pop tune it’s all around pop fun rock
extravaganza
I was wondering also what your reaction
was to be signed to a major record label
with this album with us it actually
happened quicker than then we thought it
would have actually but no it’s exciting
to get signed I mean that’s everybody’s
like dream when you first start playing
music and so I was like oh my god sign
but they don’t realize how much work is
after you get signed
so you guys are from Chicago and I was
just wondering how would you situate the
white tie affair in the music scene
there it’s weird because when we came
out of Chicago we had only played a few
shows there i mean we start chewing
right away so where I mean we’re just we
have just as much I guess you want to
say popularity or or human
acknowledgement and others in other
cities oh I like you know so i would
kind of in chicago would cost more like
a dried up contact yeah mojo com will
contact you and I send chimes I’ll Oh

with this microphone I actually kind of
feel like axl rose or something i really
don’t you know i like the guns and roses
used to sing but these things
alright yeah sorry if you notice we all
have a TD pretty bad too so you gotta
like make us focus really all right well
on to the next question how would you
guys describe the white tie affair live
experience uh-huh a lot of charms are
the head by hammer before I you ever
seen guar you ever seen it’s nothing
like that it’s nothing like
you guys were also on the true colors
tour so I was wondering why did you guys
decide to join this um you know some
people offer begged us for like two
years when I go yeah the beyond the
b-52s were like please and we’re like
okay only if you let me come out in sync
tin roof roof
this is actually a question about the
band’s name the white tie affair I guess
it’s considered the fanciest form of
dress yeah how would you compare that to
the way you guys dress well I mean our
clothes are worn very worn you know we
were a lot of the same clothes a lot of
times the white tie affair stuff one day
we might we might actually dress up but
it’s too many layers and reveal sweaty
do you know what what clothes are
required in a white tie affair I don’t
know it’s actually the white time no
it’s a white white shirt white vest
white tie and then a black jacket with
tails so in black pants dreams yet with
the green shoes
