speaking with The Kooks we always like
to start with the origin stories of the
band’s debut so tell us how the kook’s
first got together how do we get
together we basically met in Brighton
there was a Ford I just threw parties
and friends sort of partner bright and
music scene which was really cool back
then a lot of bands
it’s quite quite quick for us really we
did a few demos and then the rule sudden
we had management and then we had a
record deal within like three months
would you agree with the statement that
you guys experiment with a lot of
different jars definitely absolutely
that’s a good thing to do I think that’s
what poppers to us in a way it’s a kind
of Jean realist thing because simply
incorporates so many different genres in
itself hit a pop song can be from so
many different places the fusing of
genres is something that you kind of
have to do to create anything fresh and
new this album definitely was about that
was about trying to put things together
that would contrast each other well
how would you say that each of your
albums represents the band’s evolution
he’s quite self-evident really when you
if you were to take cross section of
each each of them amazing first ones
like pretty raucous likely just banned
in a room and really energetic and quiet
out there
at times and then the second one we were
trying to make sticky fingers by the
Rolling Stones we’re going to make like
a real rock record and then the new one
is the evolution of its the point where
we’ve sort of re-evaluated and decides
decently bit more experimental which is
you know is kind of natural you kind of
go through you can keep doing the same
things that’s dancing hearing bands that
release records it feel like risk salt
being taken I think that’s what we’re
about is trying to keep it hot on our
toes with that
