Interview with The Briggs

hey everyone welcome to watchmojo.com my
name is Aaron Sims and in today’s music
interview series Glenn McKenzie chats
with LA punk band the Briggs
I’m Joey I’m Jason we are the Briggs
God for
fudge explain your musical style of it
to the people it’s punk rock music
yo
that’s why your musical influences
Operation Ivy was definitely a big one
when you’re first starting out obviously
clashes a big influence of the bands
growing up with us into a lot of rock
like you know Led Zeppelin and the WHO
and stuff like that via our parents
we’re brothers so we listen to a lot of
the same stuff growing up about the
feeling of being on stage a lot of a lot
of reason why i like being abandoned is
this stage performance part of it this
is such a energy you know with the
audience and just like that power and
that furnace like you know that that’s
the that’s where it’s at
when it comes down to the nuts and bolts
of thing of writing a song what start
you guys off we write a lot of stuff on
acoustic guitar you know start there
start there and work work our way up to
full band kind of thing but usually like
a seed of mine or him separately and
then we kind of bring it in
so what you guys think about the
controversial topic of downloadable
content you slice it any way you want
but honestly it’s like if you you
couldn’t just go into a grocery store
and take you know shit off the shelf and
put it in your pocket same thing yeah
it’s also you know our responsibility to
make something a product that people
feel has a value to buy yeah does any
tips you could get to like a starting
fledgling blend who’s trying to get into
the punk rock scene what would you
recommend ah don’t bother there’s no
hope
good take back what is mine
