you guys are touring with children of
bodom children bonum gets their name
from a famous murder mystery and the
black dahlia murder is obviously a
famous murder mystery what is it about
like death and murder and mystery that
seems to be such a good theme for for
metal music a lot of metal music is
rooted in a darker evil things I know
like what the black dahlia murder anna
children of bodom both of the names are
acquired through murders that are still
sort of a mystery like the black dahlia
murder no one really knows who murder
Elizabeth Short there’s books about it
there’s speculation you know so it’s
just kind of like really creepiness it
can you tell us some of the differences
or similarities between the
International metal scenes like North
America and Europe sometimes you’re
playing Europe and the crowd will be
standing completely still they won’t be
moving and sometimes you know you might
think oh that’s weird but you’re up you
know people I could really stand there
and like listen to the music a lot of
times I get rowdy over there too
personally I think the real spirit of
metal just seems to be in Europe I don’t
know it just seems that’s like the
stronghold over there for this genre
you guys have a reputation of being
funny prankster kind of guys a lot of
metal bands seem to take themselves
really seriously what’s your take on
that a lot of people especially like in
the duck level seeing do take it you
know really seriously like you know
trying to look as evil and you know
unhappy as possible but to me death
metal is a really funny genre of music
you have like a drummer you know like
hitting things as fast as it can you
have like this dude like screaming you
have like dudes like long here on guitar
is just like playing like this distorted
riffs as fast as they can
I mean it’s all about fun you know like
can’t take yourself too seriously I mean
I think it’s cool you know some bands
have that whole evil vibe going on
that’s awesome good theatrics are cool
too but you know for us we’re just a
little more laid-back low-key about it
we just like to have a good time and let
the music speak for itself you know all
