who is brent Spiner I’m an icon
well actually he played data on Star
Trek Starfleet Code section 12 paragraph
data sir shut up
hi I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’ll be heading
down to comic-con to speak with brent
Spiner what is your most memorable world
to you they’re all memorable for
different reasons but mostly they’re
about who you meet who you get to work
with I’m a fan just like anyone else and
when I came to Hollywood what I really
wanted to do was meet some of my heroes
so I guess the most memorable if I had
to boil it down to one I did a movie
called out to sea with Jack Lemmon and
Walter Matthau
I got to work with these giants my
heroes since I was a kid I’ve got my eye
on you that’s a bad yourself do you have
any fun memories of filming from
anything that you’ve ever done I do have
fond memories I just you know I’ve
gotten old so I really don’t remember
very much Mette fact I barely remember
you and we’re talking obviously I think
data is probably your most memorable
role or known role what do you know
conjecture because it’s only memorable
to people who’ve seen it you know
there’s a lot of people don’t even know
what Star Trek and they’ve never seen
Star Trek don’t know who data is and yet
to them I’m an icon in terms of the
character data I mean was it was it
difficult to play someone who was
supposed to show no emotion nope
I am happy to see spot that I am crying
what do you think helped you land that
role I gave the best audition that’s it
yeah you know I’m gonna be really cursed
with these Star Trek questions that I’ve
answered for 23 years
one more question you know if you played
baseball and what what position would
you play and why well first place
because I’m particularly lazy and I
don’t like to run I don’t want to crouch
you know I could catch and I wouldn’t
have to move much at all but I don’t
like to crouch but most importantly
because I’m left-handed and first nice
minute left-handed generally you know
because they can reach toward second
base or third the rest of the field to
get the ball I played first base for a
long time actually yeah almost
professionally
