Interview With Relient K

hey everybody this is Ethan from reliant
K hey this is john i play the bass for
band called her like a perhaps you’ve
heard of us
so i’m here with Relient K so what’s
your musical influences I think
person-to-person it will vary quite a
bit you know I’m in a lot of old punk
rock ska reggae stuff our singer math
hey what’s up send to you know Beach
Boys the Beatles things like that I mean
I think a very general influence for us
to be like the Beach Boys Beatles mixed
with some you know punk rock stuff and
beach boys want to sing a little bit of
in my room that’s why I’m the drummer
that you guys meet wake up the band
started band started like in high school
the mats knew each other from back then
and gradually since then cooperating
members from other bands I was in a band
before Ethan was in numerous bands
before we all just kind of ended up in
her like yeah how’d you coax him over to
the dark side how’d you entice you guys
to get in there I was the retirement
plan yeah yeah so what you guys got any
new albums coming out or just put out
one is like a b-sides collection of rare
songs that you know either were
unreleased or made it on to low printed
CDs or vinyl that you know not a lot of
kids got their hands on so yeah we
recorded 13 new songs for it to make a
little more enticing for fans 13 songs
is pretty good from the solid four that
used to get from every other bands
besides that’s right well the total
track listings 26 oh really yeah there’s
13 new and 13 old so it’s quite a
collection and what’s like being on
stage for those who don’t know when you
walk out there you got the crowd kind of
suing you feed off their energy it’s
it’s palpable if it’s helpful oh yeah
