this year where we spoke with Taylor
from Paramore let’s start by having you
introduce yourself tell us what you do
Ben and give us a fun fact about
yourself that maybe not everyone know
all right I am Taylor I play guitar in
the band Paramore and my favorite flavor
ice cream would probably be I don’t know
I’ll just say chocolate chip cookie
dough right now and it might change in
an hour
Paramore was kind of coming together of
a few different local bands Jeremy and
Hayley were in like this funk cover band
and they play weddings and you know just
do a bunch of you know yeah funk songs
is awesome and then I was in the band
with Josh and Zach which used to be in
the band and kind of it just you know
live morph together just through school
and youth group and various kind of
avenues and yeah so we started we were
like middle school and early high school
and made it to here somehow
if you had to describe the signature
paramore sound what would you say
signature Paramore sound oh man I I
don’t know that’s a good question I
don’t think I have a good answer for
that it’s just to me I get system it’s
just a total like mash of a billion
different genres of music it’s just kind
of what actually comes out but we have a
girl singer so a girl fronted rock band
that’s pretty that’s her signature sound
no one else does that
of course like since we have a girl
singer it’s like it we get compared to
Averell and Kelly Clarkson any girl
fronted you know band or artists it’s
like will always get compared to them
and I think at this point like at the
beginning of our band we’re like trying
to fight that there’s no we’re different
and now we just kind of laugh about it
because people are always gonna compare
us to the people that we don’t really
believe we sound like but now we just
kind of think it’s a fun thing we’re at
a better place than we’ve ever been
we’re all so excited about being in
spand and making music and playing shows
and so yeah we’re really fortunate I
think to come out where we are and I’m
just thankful that our fans have been
supportive you know through that so
we’re good we’re good we have no
intentions of stopping
