Interview with Hey Rosetta!

this six piece group hailing from
Newfoundland Canada has quickly earned a
reputation for epic and energetic live
shows
hi I’m Rebecca Braden and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
with hey Rosetta
so you guys seem to have established
yourselves as like an awesome live band
what do you think you’re doing live that
is giving you this reputation I’ve often
wondered that myself
I think we all get into it bring energy
bring the honesty and just get myself
going by screaming and I think I’d like
to think that that works gets just
something to do in fashion I guess yeah
we just play the fashion one review I
just want to quote this of your live
show described the song as fuelled by
emotion and poetry do you guys consider
the songs poetry I do certainly because
I write the lyrics for me that’s where
the songs always come from you know
should have something that’s worth
yelling that’s worth screaming
ultimately if we didn’t have anything to
say or if we didn’t feel strongly about
what’s being said I don’t think that we
should keep doing this so I think we all
feel pretty passionately about the
lyrics and stuff and yeah poetically
sure this guy
in your fan
with so many members in the band is it
ever difficult to layer you know all
those instruments together and still
stay kind of individual we just spent a
few days in the studio it got kind of at
hand I think but there’s like way too
much going on all the time so it’s
definitely requires a lot of patience on
everybody’s part not to be playing all
the time and to a real dedication to
serving this the song
the video concept for there’s an arc is
like very creative how did you guys come
up with that and was it difficult to
execute it’s for all much as I do it was
just kind of inspired by the series
called love blog attack this is a video
series in Paris and some really
beautiful videos are like one take one
take performances and you know just kind
of dreamt it up didn’t they the band
thought big cool thing to do especially
with such a big bang and having a string
section and an awesome rhythm section
just different parts
and was it difficult to execute no I
think I did two three takes eight or
nine yeah
thank you very much thank you
