Interview with Blood on the Dance Floor

I’m Tommy vanity
I’m 1/2 of blood on the dance floor I do
half of the vocals and songwriting and
also sexual entertainment yeah exactly
what he said except for my name is Jay
find out what you
we always like to get the origin stories
of the been through introducing won’t
you tell us how blood on the dance floor
I first got together blood earnest
restarting 2007 I had this crazy idea of
making a song that’s very offensive to
the world and piss people off and it
worked out perfectly thousands of kids
started downloading on the Internet and
next thing you know blown answer is the
most controversial bands out there
jaebum Monroe join us and he became the
other half the elements just fit
perfectly there and it just shoot up
shut off and created this amazing you
know thing that it is today
you know I think blood on the dance
floor is like 1/2 like really really
crazy in the other half is like
philosophical because there’s like a lot
of like hidden messages that people
don’t pay attention to do because they
like see all the you know some like well
Allah you know and they don’t really
like look past that to see like they
were actually you know helping like the
youth of this generation you know like
if all the better people and realize
there’s like all this like bullying and
stuff that’s going on right now like
putting it into that standing up for
yourself doing what you think is right
so yeah I have in your own mind
I have to ask where the band name
originated because I know there’s a
Michael Jackson song called blood on the
next floor and I’m assuming it’s not
that but what happened was Christopher
modulo said one day it was on the
keyboards he’s like not on a dance floor
and I was like that sounds really good
because originally the bad name was love
the fashion so that stood with us and
then a week later fan messaged us and
said you know Michael Jackson has an
album called I would like bloody hell
and we checked it out it was true but by
then it was too late we just say you
right now it’s way too late
type in blood ants on YouTube where’s
Michael Jackson you’ll see minutes I own
the trademark the blood on ants were so
it’s fine you know I can said we like
Michael Jackson he’s a great artist he’s
one of the greatest pop artists of our
time and I wasn’t inspired by him I’m
sorry if people thought that but we
actually thought we never knew he and
I’m like god we were shocked but ah no
no it’s us but now it has a whole
different meaning
how do you like to describe your sound
for someone who has never heard it
people either love it or hate it we know
that they don’t understand it
ah-ha-ha-ha-ha
you have to gain knowledge on it to
understand it once you gain knowledge
you can and you’re ignorant and it’s all
about having an open mind and open heart
when we write music we have an open
heart and open mind that’s just how it
is everybody has sex you have sex it’s
awesome right ha ha these stress I
really have great sex laughs I’m awesome
Athenian got it sex but regardless it’s
all about having a good time and living
your life to the fullest
and that’s that’s what love is the
message I’ve been saying that that will
stand for that
I need is one
so tell us about all the rage I mean
what was the recording writing process
like for that and are you happy with the
result
life experience was learning adventure
and it was um it was a fun experience we
wrote it a lot after the tour of the
epic tour a lot of it was was based off
that tour a lot of the heartbreak so we
went through me and him a lot of the
regaining the strength that we wanted to
write an album that will help people
people would get it and understand that
hey this is uh 13 songs that helped my
life to start a new beginning and we
both were like just run I mean I was
about to get engaged with this lady and
I was about to you know live the rest of
my life with her and then I lost her and
and to lose something like that is his a
top killer and I was pretty much my bed
for a whole month
haha like not I lost the will alone and
then writing this album just kind of
just gave me the strength I’m like okay
well if I can help somebody else get
through whatever they’re going through
in life then I’m kickin that’s what I’m
gonna do I’m gonna make an album to help
people this is the moment to break your
spell I see you right through
like it was really big band-aid for me
cuz like it was kind of like an open
wound and just feeling like salt poured
and I was look awful and this is really
finished recording it’s like all of the
troubles that were in my mind were like
now like in like a form that everyone
could hear it understand so this kind of
gave me like a relief board because God
knows I went through some shit
thank you very much guys that’s great
you yeah I know thank you so much
you are goddess and the two strives for
unity and quality that’s where we stand
for a bo TDF with the lovely Becca thank
you good day
