each January the Ulta igloo ice hotel in
Norway is constructed completely out of
snow and ice it is Europe’s northernmost
ice hotel located in the finnmark region
and is approximately 250 kilometers from
North Cape it is two thousand square
meters and decorated with numerous ice
sculptures and finishings including
lighting systems which enhance the
different types of crystalline
formations besides the bedrooms the alte
igloo hotel also contains a chapel and
ice gallery and of course an ice bar
where drinks are served in glasses made
of ice the alte eglo hotel has a
changing theme each year in 2004 it was
the Vikings in 2005 Norwegian story
tails and in 2006 the theme was wild
animals of the region the temperature is
approximately minus 4 2 minus 7 degrees
Celsius but reindeer hides covering the
ice beds and thermal sleeping bags will
keep you snug and warm during your stay
