if you’re ever looking for a way to
scrap an old car Oh tofiq Co has a great
idea for you I’m Justin levian thanks
for tuning in to watchmojo.com we’re
going to check out also fixing that will
be part of the just for last street
festival and meet some of the crew it’s
a 30 minutes performance dance with
acrobatic stuff it’s about our
relationship with cars it’s not linear
there’s not one single story there are a
couple tableaus the idea i think is to
bring the car which people take for
granted as seeing every day and to
present them with images that really
come and grab them so whether it’s car
trips from your childhood whether it’s
road rage whether it’s wanting to jump
all over your car and beat the crap out
of it we’re not trying to criticize
anything or say anything in particular
just present a spectrum of images and
experiences that people can find
themselves in
so I know that dance can be a very
taxing on the body knees ankles would
you say that this is more taxing than
probably your average dance show yes
just concrete floor it’s not wood floor
and just actually just get used to the
car so we get bruises at the beginning
but more we work with it more we know
and our body knows and now it’s okay but
yeah I take like a while just to get
used to the work you got to be really
careful just in terms of things like you
know doors not closing when they’re
supposed to everything’s really precise
really calculated fortunately we’ve
grown to know the piece inside and out
so we can prepare for those things but
you know we have a reinforced roof we
have reinforced hood the card you
definitely feel it at the end of the day
you had the opportunity to go present
your auto fix yell at a couple of
festivals in Europe maybe you could tell
me about what that experience meant for
you we went to Switzerland and to France
great festivals public didn’t see it
coming I think for them especially
having this idea of three people dancing
on a car and everything that we’re
saying with it which isn’t necessarily
criticizing but a lot of observation and
just commentary on the cars presence in
society for them is I felt a bit of a
new world thing it was a dream actually
and the fact is because of the street
performance in Europe they really have
like a old tradition about the street
art so they have mini festival
and yeah it was real chance and honor as
well boys girls out of the minute i
spelled out of the men always balanced
and thank you very much thanks Justin
