How To Tweeze Your Eyebrows

hi this is Lisa for watch mojo comm and
today we’re gonna give an instant eye
lift by doing eyebrows here we have
Amanda we’re gonna just quickly brush
the brow upwards basically the eyebrow
is separated into three sections section
a starts on the inner corner section B
is our arch section C is the tail of the
eyebrow how do we define where the brow
starts we’ll just line up the outer
corner of the nose would define where
the brow would start if we take the
corner of the nose looking forward the
outside of the iris would define where
the arch would be and then from the nose
to the outer corner of the eye outwards
would define how far the brow should go
out the width of the inside corner we
really have to respect that that really
defines the overall width and shape of
the brow it respects the size of the eye
and of the face if there is a hair that
is outside of that line that is
initially what we’re going to start with
I’m using a slant tweezer angle on it
there’s all different types work with
whatever it’s comfortable for you I’m
gonna hold the tweezer flush to the skin
I’m going to use my fingers like an
anchor so that it doesn’t move around
that’s actually gonna be less painful
when you’re going into the hair get to
the root make sure you’re firm before
you remove it you’ll cause a lot less
damage it’ll be a lot less painful
another trick that I use is using a
little bit of Aveda liquid exfoliant
beforehand what that will do is soften
the skin it takes away the impacted dead
layers of skin so that it makes it
easier to remove the hair I’m just going
underneath the arch this is the primary
place that you want to get the most lift
out of this is what’s gonna open up the
eye or give you more room so let’s turn
a little bit what we can see is there’s
a little bit too much hair out here for
it to really give it a nice graphic
angle to the arch so that’s actually
what I’m gonna take away it’s a little
bit of a counter balance issue how do I
make an area looked higher I make the
other area look lower another strategic
place that we really need to clean up is
the outer corner the eye when we do that
and then we highlight this area we will
make the eye look even
are lifted this would be a very nice
natural arch I’m gonna now do the same
thing on top we can see that the start
of her brow is here and then everything
outside see if I just line this up if I
hold my tweezer you can see all sudden
that becomes straight so I know that
everything that’s outside of that top
line can be removed as well so now I’m
gonna take the scissors so I have these
beautiful little birds scissors I’m
gonna brush the brow up I’m gonna use my
finger to keep it up and then of the
tips I’m going to trim what I like about
trimming is that it keeps a brow in
shape much longer Amanda’s brows they
get blonder in the summertime when you
trim the tips on blonde brows all of a
sudden you’re taking away that little
bit of highlight and see the brow much
better now all of you to do is conceal a
bit of the redness we’re gonna use a
little bit of a mineral foundation that
way it’s antimicrobial antibacterial
it’s gonna protect it it’s gonna have
SPF protection thank you so much Amanda
for being my lovely assistant your
eyebrows look beautiful they should stay
good for about another month or so what
I do recommend is just cleaning up in
between the lower part of the brow the
outside corner get as much of the little
duvet as possible always follow it with
a little bit of a mineral powder
afterwards just to keep you know
everything happy if you are completely
like eyebrow
you know impaired I would recommend
something like this it’s just a Google
brow kit now this is just a general
guideline for eyebrows there’s so many
eyebrow shapes in the world I call
theirs the comma which the bottom line
there’s the Groucho there’s a mad
scientist what I recommend if you’re not
going to do it for yourself go and seek
professional help and then just maintain
in between on your own thanks a lot this
