How to Origami – The Crane part 1

segment on origami now origami is a
japanese word for the art of folding and
it’s an art that has been around for 600
years and its origins has actually been
disputed by many historians who argue
that it started in Japan Korea China
whatever the case may be origami is an
art and is still popular today to start
off with to keep in mind you have to use
a square piece of paper such as the one
I’m holding on right now and you must
use a splat surface to do origami
because it is important while you’re
folding to make sure you got all the
creases right so we’ll be starting off
with a crane which is probably the most
simple of all origami designs and to
begin with we’ll start with a triangle
make sure the corner touches the other
corner and then you flatten it out just
like this then you take this triangle
you take this corner and this corner and
they join just like that
so far so good great now the tricky part
you take this corner here okay and you
kind of widen this flap here take this
corner and the very top corner of the
triangle and they meet just like that
now you flip it over and you do the same
thing just to make sure fold it like
this and you take this corner and meet
it on the top corner of the triangle
again
