that your clients have when it comes to
putting together their wardrobe well
people usually don’t get creative
they’re afraid to mix and match so for
example a lot of the women that I shop
for they go into a store they buy the
look that’s on the mannequin or do see a
look in the window they go in this I
want this but then when they get to
their house they don’t know what to do
with it so they wear it exactly the same
we decide but the idea is to actually be
creative and try to pair the jacket that
you bought with something different a
lot of people go to the same one or two
stores and they don’t change but fashion
changes and their interpretation and
vision of fashion changes so it might
agree with you five years ago but not
this year so you always have to
reconsider your store selection and then
when you make them match just try things
like take two hours per weekend and just
create new looks and you’ll be happier
with your wardrobe now how do you make
sure that all the pieces that you buy
will work well and complement one
another every season what you should do
is start with a concept an idea you look
at trends and then you decide oh I love
this angle or dis direction so you can
whether it’s disco diva or a power and
structure or like you’re going to see
British country so you choose an idea
and you keep up with the concept so do
you think you could show us how a few
pieces can create totally different
looks yes absolutely let’s do that this
is my idea of British country what you
do when you have a concept in mind it
really helps you focus the purchasing
plan and it makes you pick the right
elements for the look for this one we
did a equestrian Pan
and classic neutral beige with a plaid
shirt in the khaki tones mixing it with
a short coat for the season which is
khaki and we added a little French twist
and obviously riding boots I just want
to point that our models has small
calves and I’ve had a lot of women that
had both problems their calves are too
big or they’re too small so basically
you just go to the shoe repairman and
ask them to do an extra stitch in or to
make them smaller and that works really
well and the same they can add an
elastic band when they’re too small for
your calf so it’s just a little trick
because I’m sure you notice these are
too big so you can decline this look
with various items so you can buy
another pair of these from Benetton
let’s say a black pair and then you will
use a tighter coat something that will
be very writing like and then you can
wear a crisp white shirt with it and
just keep the concept for the season and
you will have a signature look for your
weekends if you’re a professional woman
and you need to dress in suit one thing
you’re looking for is interchangeable
work wear which is really hard to say so
what I did is I basically took a suit a
pants suit and I did a different
mix-and-match than you would expect I
paired this beautiful jacket with that
wool dress that is actually a little
more casual but still would work for
example for a teacher or someone that
doesn’t have a very conservative work
environment we rolled up the sleeves to
make it a little cooler and the dress is
not even a hundred dollars so it’s an
amazing outfit that you can work maybe
on casual Friday if your office has very
restrictive policy about clothing or you
can work just like that because the
jacket makes the whole outfit more
formal then it’s up to you you can add
either a chunky gold bracelet or
something a little more vintage
looking more romantic so do you
accessorize if you do want to do a
completely casual look you keep the
dress on and basically you wear it with
either leggings or jeggings whatever you
feel like something tight and
comfortable ugg boots or whatever boots
