How to Make Chocolate Lava Cakes

if you’d like to impress that special
someone with romantic recipe I’ve got
the one for you hi I’m Rebecca Brayton
and welcome to watchmojo.com and today
I’ve got a recipe for chocolate lava
cakes so for our chocolate lava cakes
here’s what you’re going to need 4 4
ounce ramekins 4 ounces of bittersweet
chocolate 1/4 pound of unsalted butter 3
eggs 3/4 of a cup sugar 1/4 of a cup of
flour and for garnish some icing sugar
and strawberries the first step is to
pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees the
next step is a bit of a tip I’m going to
cut some circles at a parchment paper to
stick in the bottom of the ramekins with
butter so the cake doesn’t stick
after all 4 of your wax paper circles
are cutout butter the sides and the
bottom of the ramekins
next we’re going to pour some sugar into
the ramekins and tap it around making
sure that all the butter is coated this
is going to help prevent the cakes from
sticking so set your ramekins aside and
then we’re going to go to the double
boiler and melt our four ounces of
bittersweet chocolate and 1/4 cup of
unsalted butter okay this is melted now
we’re going to whisk together the eggs
sugar and flour until just blended
now we’re going to gradually add the
chocolate and butter mixture to our
sugar flour and egg mixture just to do
this very gradually because if you don’t
then the chocolate will scramble the
eggs now we’re going to evenly provide
the mixture between the ramekins using
about a third of a cup for each now
we’re going to place our ramekins on a
cookie sheet to make it easier to put in
and take out of the oven and cook for 10
to 12 minutes at 400 degrees now you’ll
want to remove these from the oven when
the tops are firm and beginning to crack
and the edges are set that should be
after about 12 minutes but if it isn’t
you can leave them in there a bit longer
however don’t leave them in too long or
else the center’s won’t be molten lava
now to make things a little easier
you’ll want to run a knife around the
cake in the ramekin to loosen it from
its position and now we’re going to
reverse it on the plate and hopefully
it’ll easily come out
now you can garnish however you like but
I’ve pre-cut a strawberry that I’m gonna
place on top and then I’m going to
sprinkle it in icing sugar the best part
of these cakes is their gooey Center
