How to Make Buttermilk Biscuits

these are great as a tea party snack as
part of a brunch or as part of a huge
holiday meal hi I’m Rebecca Brayton
you’re welcome to watchmojo.com and
today we’ll be showing you how to make
buttermilk biscuits for this recipe
you’ll need two and a half cups of
all-purpose flour two tablespoons of
granulated sugar two and a half
teaspoons of baking powder half a
teaspoon of baking soda half a teaspoon
of salt half a cup of cube too cold
butter 1 cup of buttermilk and 1 egg
after preheating your oven to 400 whisk
together the flour sugar baking powder
baking soda and salt in a bowl
now use a pastry cutter to cut the
butter into the mixture until it looks
like coarse crumbs
in another bowl whisk together the
buttermilk and egg now add the
buttermilk and egg mixture to the flour
mixture and stir it all together with a
fork until it forms a soft dough
you
lightly flour your hands and shape the
dough into a ball then need that 10
times on a lightly floured work surface
pat your dough until it’s about three
quarters of an inch thick across and
then cut it in two rounds using your
round cutter
you
place your rounds on a cookie sheet
that’s been lined with parchment paper
and bake them in your preheated oven for
12 to 15 minutes
you can serve these with anything from
gravy to gem but make sure to serve them
when they’re warm because that’s when
they’re at their flea keys
