the technique you will use to remove the
dent will depend on its size for smaller
dents a machine called a dent puller is
the easiest way to remove to dent first
it is important to clean the area around
the dent with water so the dent puller
can have a clean connection with the
cars body if your dent puller uses air
pressure make sure to connect the two
machines and verify that your air
pressure is working place the suction
cup of the dent puller on the area
around the dent try to get as much
surface area touching the suction cup
with a pressurized puller allow a few
seconds for the pressure to build begin
tugging the dent puller away from the
car and towards your body you may need
to reposition the dent puller for
satisfactory results and it may take a
few pulls but eventually the dent will
pop out some dents however do not fit in
a dent puller for these larger dents you
can use a 2×4 and a mallet hammer it is
important to make direct contact with
the dent so be sure to strip back any
layers that cover the dent on the
interior of the car take the 2×4 and
position its end so it is in the center
of the dent using the mallet hammer up
the dent be sure not to use too much
pressure or you may cause more damage to
the area than good finish by replacing
the inner layers and your car will be as
good as new
