How To Blow Dry Your Hair for Volume

hi there my name is Bernardo Fernandez
I’m co-owner of salon Sweet William here
in Montreal we are watching
watchmojo.com and this is our lovely
model today we’re gonna be showing you
how to do a nice volume blow-dry so the
first step we’re gonna do we’re gonna
use something to remove some of the oil
since she hasn’t shampooed today to give
it a little bit of a fresher look so I’m
gonna be using fresh hair from Kevin
Murphy it just takes the smell out of
the day takes also a little bit of the
oil it absorbs it so it’s quite nice
smells great
after we’ve sprayed it on we’re going to
use any towel that this product comes
with the towel so it’s quite nice so the
purpose of the towel is just to get some
of that oil worked into the product so
it really just gives a bit of absorption
into the oil now to achieve that volume
you want to be using something that’s
going to protect the hair the hair is
gonna get straight straight on heat from
it without having any water as a barrier
so we’re getting something called heated
defense also by Kevin Murphy we’re gonna
spray that generously around the roots
and for the ends just to get a little
bit or more refreshment on the ends
we’re gonna use a leave-in conditioner
that’s it in liquid form so you just
pray it on the ends and roots another
important thing that a lot of people
neglect to do when they are blow drying
their hair is taking sections it’s a
really good way to eliminate getting
your brush tangled into the hair I’m
using this sexy dough brush from
Maryland it’s a really good volumizing
brush it’s got a really nice shape that
shapes around the shape of the head like
this it’s very dense so it’s very good
for smoothing also
another thing I like to do is I like to
it a brush cool down before I remove the
brush that helps the form of the brush
tips hold into the hair you always want
to go with your natural parting a lovely
model likes to part it in the middle so
we’re going to steep it in the middle
this is a great way to touch up your
look so you don’t have to go for a full
wash a blow-dry
you can just refresh things with small
products not too heavy and have a nice
look for it there summer
