so what I’m going to demonstrate is sort
of like a user’s guide to base it’s
essentially a way to get by and to sort
of be able to jam with your friends and
have fun if you don’t you know if you’re
the guy who gets stuck the person who
gets stuck playing the bass there and
you know you don’t really know what to
do i’m going to show you a little trick
and it’s called and it’s something that
I use all the time and it because it’s
super fun and it sounds wicked it’s sort
of like a pentatonic scale I like to
call it the rockbox and what the i’m
going to play the rockbox in g and i’m
just gonna do it and then i’ll just sort
briefly explain what it is it’s really
easy it just goes like
[Music]
so what that was was I was essentially
working my way back up to my root note
which was G a B flat C C sharp D F G
which brings me back to my my one there
my my root note and you can essentially
sort of create variations on that like
say
[Music]
and by using this rockbox technique you
can sort of venture off and find the
different notes along the fretboard that
correspond to the notes within your rock
box so if you’re playing like your G
you’ll go off and find your f which is
right here so and then you go back to
date and then you can you can find your
feet flat so it’s fairly simple and it’s
just sort of like a functional way to be
able to play music with your friends and
and enjoy flame days
