Guide to Acting – Common Misconceptions part 1

welcome to watchmojo.com my name is
Chantry and today I’ll be talking a
little bit about acting and the three
most important misconceptions of acting
first one I would say is that most
people think it’s pretending really it
comes from a truthful place you are
playing a character in a different
situation yes it may be in a different
time but because you were playing that
character everything has to come from
within everything has to come from
somewhere truthful so for example if you
need to be angry you can’t just play the
anger you act play why you’re angry
where it comes from and that anger is
really truthful that’s why a lot of
actors have sort of like calm down and
breathe and be themselves afterwards
because they’re such in a moment one
kids play they they themselves believe
that for example there they’re being
pirates but in their head they are
really pirates and they’re committed to
those characters and when they speak
with their parents for example they
still keep that character of being
pirates and that’s what really is is
just acting is just being committed to a
situation to a character
