Golf Tips – How To Intentionally Skull A Sand Wedge

hi I’m PGA member Jay golden and welcome
to watchmojo.com today I’m going to talk
about the intentional skulled sandwich
you’ve all been in this situation you
hit a pretty good shot but you ball
trickles trickles trickles trickles
right to the edge of the green and it’s
against the frog hair or fringe and
hitting a putt is difficult because
you’re afraid that you’re going to hit
the grass behind the ball what many
people will do is use their putter put
it hit down on the ball and then lose
their feel for distance very often
they’ll hit it way past the hole that’s
when many Tour Pros will use the sculled
sand wedge and this is how you hold it
basically like a putter and you place it
behind the ball off the ground so that
the leading edge is straight with the
center of the ball when it’s at the
center of the ball you line up just like
you’re putting you take your putting
stroke and hit the center of the ball
skull it you’re actually sculling the
ball you’re thinking of distance this
takes a little practice but when you
practice it a few times you’re not going
to believe how well this works the skull
sand wedge a great stroke saver from
right on the edge of the green
