hi my name is Merlin Griffiths I’m the
global ambassador for Bombay Sapphire
and it gives me great pleasure to be
here today on watchmojo.com to make you
the sapphire and CIN this is based upon
a 1920s prohibition classic called the
gin and sin when quite literally
drinking gin was a sin I’m going to
start with an ounce and a half of Bombay
Sapphire we’re going to add the fresh
squeezed juice of half a lemon so about
one ounce always squeezed from fresh
fruit and a half an ounce of freshly
squeezed orange juice and it’s the
combination of this lemon and orange
citrus that really lifts the drink and
works with the coriander seed and the
natural lemon peel in Bombay Sapphire
itself and now just a little sweetness
I’ve made a touch of ginger syrup it’s
just simply sugar water and fresh ginger
reduced on the stove and now we’re ready
to shake and just like they did during
temperance times we’re going to use
hand-cut ice to shake booth
we can see it’s cold enough and ready to
serve and we strain it over more of our
lovely hand-cut ice in a crystal glass
all the better to enjoy attend hand
selected botanicals in Bombay Sapphire a
simple garnish to reference the flavor a
slice of ginger and the final garnish a
sprig of cilantro for some color and
aroma the sapphire and CIN
