FundScrip: Online Fundraising

we’re talking to the CEO and president
of fun script Christopher Hill about
online fundraising so tell me Chris what
exactly is fun scrip all about fun
script is a gift card marketing company
that specializes in fundraising in
particular so basically what we do is we
buy gift cards at a discount from in
large volumes from national retailers
mostly and then we resell them at face
value to people supporting various
groups and then we give a cut of that
the difference to the groups and that’s
it so it’s a way to fundraise with every
day spending basically currently what
kind of groups is fun script working
with traditionally we work with schools
of course and sports teams churches
religious institutions that sort of
thing and what’s the process for one of
these groups getting involved in fun
script usually they find us online or
maybe they’ve been referred by another
group because we’re all across Canada
now we have fundraising consultants
across the country and you just chat
with them and they take your information
and get you signed up and the online
side of things where does online fit
into fun scripts business model exactly
the members of our groups will sign up
themselves and go on and purchase off of
the site so there’s that online
component emails are sent to the group’s
just so they can see and track where
there are packages along the way we do
very little offline marketing so very
very very important to us alright well
