Electronic Arts: The EA Games Franchises

hi this is Chris again with
watchmojo.com I had the pleasure of
speaking to a few representatives from
Electronic Arts we talked about a few
things like what they’re looking for in
an employee and what are they really
doing as a company what are their
philosophies and what sort of challenges
that they face while making games so
let’s have a listen from the sports of
vision I mean you guys must have a lot
of weight on your shoulders because you
guys are cranking out a product every
single year I mean that’s the exciting
part of it right I mean we have
deadlines that we have did here too and
you know we want to get the product out
what drive their product and what drives
the titles is yeah we have the licensing
agreement but it’s the passion and the
dedication of the people that actually
get us there in essence you guys created
the concept of annual releases for for
console gaming a couple times we’ve had
comments or feedback that the game might
not have changed that much over year
after year and you know some of the
things carry over what the
organization’s doing is trying to do
things a bit differently than we used to
do so that the one the product does come
out you know it has what the public is
looking for what sort of projects do you
guys focus on in the mobile market we
had buki which was made here in Montreal
for the wii version and be a mobile is
gonna make the yes how embarrassing it
must be impressive to see the leaps and
bounds and technology and mobile phones
lately as the hardware advances it gives
us more capabilities to do things and it
seems every three to six months of new
products coming out and what we do is
with the games and how we relate it to
the various hardware is just we try to
adapt it try to make it as user friendly
and enjoyable as we can what do you look
for when you guys are looking for
employees to work for yet anything from
software engineers technical directors
and then on the artistic side we’re
looking for animators modelers art
directors and icg soups and those sorts
of things i think it’s it’s all about
talent all of our postings are available
online at charter com so
just encourage you to have a look at it
what’s great about working at EA and the
environment the passion that people have
the people that we bring on the focus
and dedication to what they do is second
to none we get paid to play games yeah
why wouldn’t you want to work here
cannot complain about that yeah okay
well guys I’d like to thank you both
very much you guys are both fantastic
